Everything in life is about timing. Timing for your flowers is extremely important. The iris in this arrangement popped open right before the event.

Sweet Serendipity’s purpose is to bring beauty and joy to the world. Wedding florals/decor and custom wedding favors are where we shine. Along with making your flower dreams come true, we will press or cast in the resin parts of your flowers for you to keep forever. Would you like your bridesmaids or guests to have a necklace, bracelet, earrings, a bookmark, or many other options with your flowers in them? How about an arch to get married in front of? Maybe a flower wall?

Don’t let your dreams be dreams! Let me help you make them real.

Serving The Triangle, Western NC, and Southern NC

My family and I foraged for the greenery and put the arch together as a family. This made it all the more special to get married under such a beautiful arch.

Have you ever had a full plate? Not like Thanksgiving-plate full, but like Maid of Honor at your best friend’s wedding while also being the florist full. I have!

When she asked me to be her MOH, we’d already decided I would do her flowers. 12 Centerpieces, 6 Bouquets, 8 Corsages, 8 Boutonnieres, 4 Table Arrangements, 1 head table garland, and 1 beautiful bride. It was a big job, but I was happy to do it. Since the wedding was in Chicago and I am based in NC, I dove into research to find everything I would need.

Katelyn and Bryan love to be outdoors and they wanted to bring that into their big day. What made this extra special is that all of the pine used came from the bride’s family farm.

The groom here, Bryan, said he didn’t understand the point of the flowers until he saw the whole room set up. He couldn’t keep a smile off his face and I got many thank yous. Thinking of that moment always warms my heart.

When the event was coming fast, I nervously packed my car with all the hard goods for the wedding, along with my beautiful MOH dress, and started the 13-hour drive. I arrived and got right to work with my duties, both as a florist and as the Maid of Honor. There were times when I was running around like a crazy person, all dolled-up, and I promise you I didn’t get much sleep the night before as I continued to trash my hotel room with mounds and mounds of beautiful flowers.

I blinked and there we were, at the wedding. I blinked again and it was all over. And I loved every second of it. I wouldn’t change a thing about that week, and while I don’t recommend this challenge to the weak-hearted, I do recommend it. You best be hungry.

I made this bouquet for my wedding and I am so happy with how it came together. I wasn’t sure what I wanted, so I grabbed a bunch of flowers I loved and played! Jewel tones are a favorite of mine.

Katelyn wanted her December 23rd wedding to feel “Christmas-y, but not TOO Christmas-y”. You got it, girl! We decided to go with a simple look. White and blush roses with soft textured touches and pops of color with berries really worked perfectly for her.

Q: What’s your title/position in your business?

A: Lindsay Carr, Owner and Designer

Q: What’s a fun fact about yourself?

A: My friends call me the DIY queen! I have a knack for repurposing and problem-solving in creative ways. I absolutely love to go thrifting for old things to give new life to.

Q: What is your favorite thing about elopements?

A: For me, elopements have always felt very romantic. When you elope, the wedding isn’t about the location, or the flowers, or the cake, it’s about the love between two people. My parents eloped to Las Vegas, were married by Elvis, and met Mr. T in a casino! The only people who attended were their siblings. I grew up with that story and that is why I have never had a “dream wedding”, but a dream feeling. I want everyone to smile like my parents when they talk about their wedding. I want to make dreams happen.

Lindsay did such a beautiful job doing the bouquets and centerpieces at my daughter’s wedding. I couldn’t be happier how everything turned out…just gorgeous! Thank-you for making Katelyn’s and Bryan’s wedding that much more special on THEIR day💕!

– Review from mother of the bride

Something I love about this design is that it is really simple, but still so eye-catching. There are only three different elements, 2 roses and 1 type of greenery. Color really makes an impact! – Photo by Assorted Poppies Photo at The Horace Williams House, Chapel Hill, NC
