Southern Belle Photography focuses on capturing wedding photos that are as unique as you are! Your love story is like no other so I believe your wedding photography shouldn’t be either.

My style is vibrant, authentic, timeless, and bold. I am all about capturing the classic moments you expect but with a creative, modern twist. I am based halfway between Charlotte & Winston-Salem but I’m always up for a road trip! With over a decade of experience, you can rest at ease that your memories are in good hands.

Serving All of North Carolina

My name is Hannah Bell and I discovered my love for photography in high school when I received my first camera, and I never stopped shooting! In 2010, I captured my first wedding, and since then I’ve traveled all across North Carolina, celebrating with dozens of amazing couples. I’m forever thankful to every couple who’s trusted me to tell their unique love story.

For me, it’s all about connecting with the couples so I can truly tell your story in a visual way. I love documenting the happy tears, experiencing the raw joy that freely flows through an elopement, and getting swept up in the spirit of the vows, all while capturing those perfect little behind-the-scenes moments that you never expected.

If I’m not behind the camera or editing, I’m probably reading to my two kids, rewatching a comedy or sci-fi series like Parks & Rec or Star Trek: TNG, or having a board game night. I’m a wife, homeschool mom, Christian, writer, sci-fi nerd, earring addict, perfectionist, and Cook-Out milkshake connoisseur.

If you’re looking for bold and vibrant photos, captured by a fun and quirky photographer, I’m your gal. I can’t wait to celebrate your love story.

Q: What’s your title/position in your business?

A: Hannah Bell – Owner & Lead Photographer

Q: What is your favorite thing about elopements?

A: I love that they are more relaxed and the couples can spend more time with the people they love.

Q: What’s a fun fact about yourself?
A: I am completely addicted to earrings! You’d seriously think I was Ms. Frizzle judging by my earrings. My eclectic collection ranges from small and simple to large and nerdy. I few of my favorite pairs include my AT-ST walkers, frogs, Disney Princesses, Marvel mini Funko heads, bicycle spokes, puzzle pieces, Pac-man ghosts, & Star Trek insignia to name a few.

Q: Tell us about your favorite elopement!

A: My dear friend Adrienne eloped during the COVID-19 pandemic and being able to capture her elopement made my heart so happy because she is like a sister to me. As the last one in our friend group to get married, Adrienne’s wedding may have been small but it was a big deal to all present & it meant so much to me that I got to be a part of such an intimate event. It was also extra special because my daughter was the flower girl, my son was the ring bearer, my husband was the officiant, and my sister was the matron of honor.

Q: Is there a wedding detail on your bucket list?

A: I would love to do an elopement at an aquarium or someplace unique like a movie theater. Oh, and a Star Trek or Princess Bride themed wedding would make me lose my mind!!

“Hannah captured our memories on our wedding day so beautifully! I didn’t have to worry or think about anything. She was prepared, professional, and thorough. When my husband and I saw the photos we were blown away and very appreciative of the online gallery we could share with our friends and family. She has really thought of everything to make the bride feel at ease when everything else is so chaotic.”

“I was amazed at how each picture just seemed to get better and better. Some even took me by surprise and made me tear up (which is not something I normally do). Others simply just took my breath away. Hannah went above and beyond my expectations and I couldn’t have asked for more. We love the canvas we purchased and the quality is awesome. Hannah is truly a gifted artist and I can’t wait for her photograph any future children because if she can make me look good, she can do anything!”
