I help couples preserve their love story through compelling photography. Capturing a couples unique style and approach to the wedding day is something that continues to get my creative juices going because no one wedding is ever exactly the same. I also love to collaborate with my couples to capture everything they want, and I lend my creative talents to give them one-of-a-kind artwork. At the end of the day, the most important part of my job is to help the couples relax, have fun and let their love shine.

I always loved visual storytelling. Watching movies is where I first got my spark and again later when I picked up my first camera. It was a Pentax K1000 and hearing the click of the shutter and then developing the film and seeing the results in the darkroom was just exhilarating. From there I discovered photojournalism in magazines like Rolling Stone and National Geographic. So I pursued a career in photojournalism and went to college to study. While there I had a professor who was a documentary photographer, but got paid by photographing weddings. I didn’t realize that photographing a wedding is really in essence a mini-documentary. So, I started doing weddings for friends and family. I was hooked and it has led to a great career and one that I’m still constantly energized by each time I photograph an elopement or a traditional wedding. Because it’s all the people and their story. I get to help tell their story and give them photos to share with friends and family for a lifetime.

“Sean was very friendly and easy to work with from the first time we met until the end of our wedding day! He and his team went above and beyond to make our day SO special and unique. He catered to all of our requests and our pictures turned out better than I could have ever imagined! He and his team worked so hard to capture every detail of our day, and his dedication (even after getting a flat tire on the way to the venue) was very evident. If you’re skeptical about finding a photographer for your big day, look no further than Sean True!”
