Power Petals is a flower farm nestled in the woods and pasture lands of Southern Statesville, NC. We create experiences on and off the farm offering on-site reservations, market bouquets, specialty designs and host floral design workshops. Our flowers come with their own story of how they were grown, nurtured and their ancient language of flowers meaning. Each bouquet includes a keepsake with the meaning of each flower. Discover the meaning of each bloom. Every stem has a message, every collection a story.

Power Petals was inspired from our love of nature and farming; our dream to live out our retirement days working the land and giving back. Since we moved to North Carolina almost seven years ago, we have cherished this beautiful land we own and lease and we want to share the beauty with others, creating experiences both on and off the farm. Spending more than thirty years in corporate America navigating politics of the manufacturing world and pushing through glass ceilings, I am longing to get back to my roots (figuratively and literally!!). Paying homage to my birth name, “Power,” Power Petals flower farm is all about sharing the stories hidden in the petals, “Stories in the Stems”.
Building off a brand started over a year ago, Power Stories, where I share my tales of corporate life from the farmer’s daughter prospective, Power Petals uses flowers to tell stories. Our Stories in the Stems reference the ancient language of flowers to share messages with every stem and stories with every collection. We personalized bouquets by picking stems to tell your unique story and include keepsakes that decode your first encounter, your secret dreams and wishes, or even your vows.
We have opened our farm for intimate photo shoots and the exchange of vows. Our little farm offers picturesque hilltop views, sunflowers with blooming raised beds, and two gentle quarter horses, Chevet and Chester, to greet you. We work to ensure our property is accessible for all and offer transportation in our three-seater side-by-side.

A: Three years ago in celebration of our 28th anniversary, my husband and I ditched our wedding bands for ring finger tattoos. We both love the outdoors and nature so Paul choose branches and I a curled vine. Vines often grow on branches and support one another. We are determined to be the coolest parents and soon to be grandparents.
Q: What is your favorite thing about elopements?
A: The adventure story!! I’m all about telling a story. I would love to create a unique design based on the couples vows. I use the meaning of each stem to create their story. Our little flower farm (someday soon) could be a beautiful spot to exchange those special memories.
A: My favorite elopement (the only in our family) is when my little sister and her high school sweetheart ignored tradition, but honoring his military service in the Navy, set sail to have a ship’s captain officiate. They had a couple fellow shipmates, strangers, witness as they stood on deck near the helm exchanging vows and making a commitment to love each other for eternity. After almost thirty years (26 to be exact), they have not wavered. As with most, they have been tested, but nothing bonds them more than their two children, both graduating this year; one from PA school the other high school. I truly admire their strength and perseverance rooted in the love for each other and family.
A: I want to share locally grown flowers from our little farm and others like us with personalized Power Petals “Stories in the Stems.” Every stem has a message, every collection a story.
