Serving The Triangle
Pinup Studio is a full-service salon, and we handle everything from color, cuts, and extensions to updos and makeup for weddings! Our bridal department is Pinup Bridal, and our mission is for every bride to look and feel their absolute best on the most important day of all! We take care of everything, from trials beforehand to make sure you love your look, to hair and makeup touch-ups before we leave to ensure everything is perfect! Plus, we have a fairly large and growing team, which helps those last-minute brides slide in and secure a spot for their special day.
The passion for owner Christina was always to open a salon, but bridal styling was never really in her agenda. But with each stylist she hired who wanted to do more in bridal, and with the connections they had grown in the bridal industry, they figured why not expand and tap into the bridal market if that’s what our stylists are interested in! Lead stylist Sydney has taken numerous makeup classes, including airbrush, braiding, and updo/style classes, and she says she loves all wedding styles, but romantic boho and glam are her favorites.
Christina loves connecting, collaborating, and growing our list of people to refer out to friends, family, and clients. It’s fun meeting and learning about all the amazing small businesses in Raleigh and the surrounding areas. We love being a source for people to reach out for a solid recommendation. She also loves coaching and teaching her team how to market themselves and hone in on what they are trying to sell. She loves coaching on their strengths behind the chair and personally to help them grow and become the best versions of themselves.
While I (Heather) don’t personally do hair or makeup for our clients anymore, I do love making each person feel like they are being seen! We strive to create an inclusive environment so that all brides/partners can feel comfortable with their beauty services from the booking process to the day of. Pronouns are very important to us, as well as understanding each person’s vision for their wedding day look, whether that is more feminine like me, masculine like my wife, or somewhere in between. We work hard to grow our connections with our team and ensure everyone is on board with nothing but love and respect to give to anyone. What sets us apart is our drive and dedication to always being bold and different.
Clients are welcome to come to Pinup Studio in Raleigh, have us travel to their dressing suite, or for those who don’t have a set place to get ready, our Blush Bus is the perfect way to start your wedding day. With our company growing and our girls expressing things they love/hate about bridal suites they work in, we decided to create something fun and cute to expand our brand awareness that works great for both brides and our stylists. Our team converted a 1975 Holiday Rambler into a one-of-a-kind modern bridal suite with a light, airy, Beverly Hills vibe. The Blush Bus was built for comfort and ease of mind, so our brides and stylists have all the natural lighting, counter space, and power they need, including AC/heat to keep everyone comfy. We even included a seating area, a fridge for champagne, and three styling stations, so we’re a great way to start the party earlier than the venue opens, and to create the fun and relaxing vibe you want to start your wedding day with.

“Run, don’t walk, to book Pinup for your event! This review is long overdue. Adena and the rest of the team at Pinup is worth 10 stars – 5 stars just doesn’t cut it. She did my hair and makeup for my wedding, and it was exactly how I envisioned it. At the end of the night, I didn’t want to take down my hair or remove my makeup! And yes, it was still all perfectly intact – after more than 12 hours! They truly are the sweetest people – my bridal party was so blown away by their hair and makeup skills, and we all got so many compliments throughout the day. I look back on my photos now, and everyone looked absolutely stunning for my big day. I cannot recommend this studio enough, and I cannot thank them enough (especially Adena) for making me and my girls feel like superstars on my wedding day. Y’all are truly the best of the best – keep up the amazing work and flawless customer service!”
