Rain is supposed to be good luck for a wedding, but hail?

Robin, Saar, and I had to laugh because no one could hear me with the marble size hail storm occurring!

I offer ceremonies that are joyful and fun. I create your love story so your family and friends understand how you fell in love and why you are making this lifelong commitment. My goal is to keep you to be calm during the ceremony so you can enjoy the moment. The ceremony may honor your family traditions or cultural heritage. Ceremonies are for all couples: traditional and LGBTQ. You may choose a secular, spiritual, or religious ceremony. The ceremony is personalized to fulfill your dreams with memories to last a lifetime.

Tom and Claire had a Medieval Wedding, and they dressed me in a Friar’s robe.

The cake was adorned with a dragon!

Q: What’s your title/position in your business?

A: Ann McKenzie, Wedding Officiant

Q: Is there a wedding detail on your bucket list?

A: I would love to marry a couple under a waterfall or on an island!

Q: What’s a fun fact about yourself?

A: I was on a clogging team, Apple Chill Cloggers, for 15 years. We traveled to Europe to participate in International Folk Dance Festivals, in Ireland, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, and Holland. We stayed with families and danced with other groups from many countries. It was an amazing way to learn about other cultures.

Nicole and Scott’s Halloween wedding was a Day of the Dead theme and was so much fun!

I always carry two handkerchiefs in my ceremony book in case the bride and groom both need one

Highly recommend! Ann was perfect!

“We met Ann at a wedding expo. To be perfectly honest, I was a bit worried about choosing someone we didn’t know previously, especially since our wedding was LGBT, but based on our short interaction with her and her Wedding Wire reviews, we decided to take a leap of faith. Boy am I glad we did!

Ann officiated our wedding and she was spectacular. She took a lot of time to write a ceremony that was exactly what we wanted. We wanted to keep scripture out of the service, but still bring in elements of religion/spirituality from our two separate religion. Ann was able to accomplish this perfectly and write/deliver a really powerful ceremony that everyone loved! I think every single person attending our wedding came up and told us that the ceremony was the best they’d ever been to. Ann stayed for a bit after the ceremony and she had a line of people who were waiting to talk to her – everyone really enjoyed her. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better and wouldn’t have changed a single thing!”

Emily and Buddy chose the Victorian as their beautiful venue.

They gave roses to their mothers and included their love story in the ceremony.

For my nephew’s wedding at Carolina Beach, I was the officiant and a guest.

It was a combination wedding/family reunion. The wind was a challenge, but it went well.
