I’m a Raleigh-based wedding harpist. I perform for all sorts of events, but I specialize in weddings. I love using music to enhance a couple’s special day and make it a unique and memorable experience. My favorite couples to work with are those that put a lot of thought into the guest experience and incorporate personal touches into their wedding day, whether they have a budget of $5,000 or $500,000.

My favorite part about being a wedding harpist is surprising my clients with the diversity of music I can play. Often, we associate harps with classical music and angels; while Romantic era music is stunning on the harp (think “Clair de Lune”), the harp is capable of so much more! I personally love movie soundtracks, so you’ll find my repertoire is full of music from The Lord of the Rings, Disney & Pixar, and Hans Zimmer. It’s so special when clients have a favorite song that’s not a traditional wedding song that I can perform for them!

As a wedding musician, I offer four service packages with the ability to customize each. I most often perform at both the ceremony and cocktail hour, though I have packages ranging from ceremony only to full wedding weekend.

I’ve found that most elopements tend to book my Ruby Package, which is 1 hour of ceremony music + 2 hours of social and dinner music. Because elopements often don’t have a DJ, couples usually like to extend out the live music for a longer period.

An introvert and homebody at heart, I enjoy life’s simple pleasures of making a delicious meal, reading a good book, or going for a walk with my pup. That being said, I’ll go on any adventure as long as it’s with my best friend and husband, Brandon. We frequently enjoy traveling together, having most recently gone on our long-belated honeymoon to Iceland in November 2022.

Q: What’s your title/position in your business?

A: Sarah Cavaiani, Owner

Q: What’s a fun fact about yourself?

A: I love traveling and have been to Antarctica!

Q: What is your favorite thing about elopements?

A: My favorite thing about weddings is creating a unique and memorable experience for both couples and their guests. This is even more true with elopements as it’s such an intimate affair with just the couple and a few witnesses. I love the intimacy of an elopement. Whether it’s just the couple or also their closest friends, it is a true honor to be invited to celebrate with the couple.

Q: Is there a wedding detail on your bucket list?

A: I’m always adding new music to my repertoire and am so excited when a couple is the first to choose a song. Right now, I’m looking towards playing Love on Top, For Sentimental Reasons, and Dawn (the theme from Pride & Prejudice).

Q: Tell us about your favorite elopement!

A: I love elopements that focus on the guest experience. Just because it’s a small wedding does not mean it has to be quaint or simple. I love when couples and their guests receive the VIP experience with fantastic food, stellar entertainment, and specialized services!

“Working with Sarah for my wedding was an absolute delight. She played beautifully and two weeks later our wedding guests are still raving about how beautiful she played! From beginning to end, Sarah was extremely professional, patient, and understanding with us. She was always available to answer any questions that we may have had and her extensive song list was perfect with a great combination of various genres of music. She even learned a new song that I really loved and wanted played during the ceremony! We would highly recommend Sarah! and it was such an absolute pleasure working with her. She was the perfect addition to our wedding day! Thank you so much for a memorable day!”

“Sarah did an amazing job playing for our wedding ceremony. The music was absolutely beautiful and really added an element of elegance to the wedding. Sarah was easy to work with and provided a long list of songs along with helpful guidance for songs appropriate for the processional, recessional, etc. She even accommodated our special request for the groom’s entrance.”
