Cruise Cape Fear specializes in creating unique Elopement Adventures. This elopement, vow renewal, and micro-wedding option is designed for those with an adventurous spirit who want to commemorate their love and commitment to each other in a very unique, intimate, and profound way. Last-minute, spontaneous ceremonies are welcomed!
Our experience includes a journey on the Cape Fear River that takes our lovebirds into natural, scenic areas inaccessible except by boat. We strive to offer a comprehensive and exclusive experience. You will have approximately 2 hours on the boat; we will pick you up and drop you off at the Historic Downtown Wilmington Riverwalk. The boat will take you up the river for a quiet, relaxing, private cruise to a remote location.
We were first inspired to create this elope adventure venue after eloping ourselves in the Virgin Islands. We wanted to offer couples a budget-friendly, unique option that makes lifetime memories. Having a budget does not mean sacrificing cherished memories. We love sharing this truly unique experience with free-spirited individuals who really want something different to commemorate and begin their life journey.
Our boat is comfortable and the only one on the river that you can book privately and is able to take you to places you are not able to access any other way. We have Bluetooth available for music and provide seating and other things to make your ride comfortable and fun! We welcome pets and you may have up to six total guests, should you choose to share this moment with others. We provide Champagne and a Charcuterie Snackle Box that we can customize to your selections. The boat will be charmingly decorated to fit the surroundings.
The wedding ceremony will be on the boat in a natural and scenic area. Our ordained minister will accompany you and happily customize vows that are exclusive to you. He also takes care of all the paperwork after the nuptials. We can take photos for you and share them with a local photographer to edit for an additional fee, or you are free to bring along your own photographer.
There are many fantastic restaurants within a few blocks of the launch and landing location. We are happy to make recommendations! We are local and deeply connected to this area and believe in supporting our fellow small business owners.
We are avid water enthusiasts and passionate about our environment, and committed to reducing our footprint on Mother Earth. Sharing the beauty of the area and caring for our waters by cleaning up litter are little ways we hope will make a difference. It’s the little things that mean the most to us and we are filled with gratitude for all the universe provides!
We welcome all couples, and our non-denominational officiant works one-on-one with you to create a personalized vow exchange. Your story and uniqueness are paramount to the ceremony. Q: What’s a fun fact about yourself?
A: We have an adopted sea turtle named Bruce. He was rescued and rehabilitated and released. We check in on him daily and consider him a part of our family.
Q: What is your favorite thing about elopements?
A: Spontaneity and simplicity are core values in our lives. We believe less is more and being present and true to yourselves is what makes your day unique and memorable.
Q: Tell us about your favorite elopement!
A: We eloped to the Virgin Islands and it was then that we realized how special an intimate and informal ceremony could be. We were on the beach, surrounded by stunning views of mountains and crystal blue water, and the warm glow of the sun setting.
