When folks think about eloping on the beach, they picture gorgeous sunsets, a light breeze, and comfortable weather. Some days you get lucky and everything falls into place – but more often than not, you may be faced with high sun and burning sand, crazy winds that knock over decor and tangle hair, or the dreaded afternoon rainstorm. Beach elopements simplify so many details involved in big weddings, but there’s no controlling the weather, especially on the Carolina Coast.

This design was created during a Green Wedding Guild shoot. Planners who are a part of the Guild put together their own team to create a vision to execute. Bill Scott Pavilion was honored to be chosen as the host venue for what turned out to be such an eclectic shoot!
When we think about summer in the south, our minds often drift to picking fresh fruit, celebrating the 4th of July, and finding a shady spot to read a good book and enjoy a perfect day. With these thoughts in mind, ElopeNC members collaborated to create a vintage patriotic summer elopement styled shoot at a dreamy Americana venue.
Maria’s limoncello theme was beautiful AND tasty! Maria setup a beautiful mock reception tablescape. We were so happy to see how each planner utilized the space and made it their own; the options are endless!
Our goal for this Starry Night styled shoot was to create a dreamy nighttime micro-wedding set outside under the stars. We chose a dark navy blue, silver, and gold for our colors to mirror a twinkling night sky. Model bride Gabby glistened in a sparkling wedding gown and an elegant up-do while groom Pyrion looked handsome in a fitted blue suit.
This bohemian chic-inspired styled shoot was designed with pastel pinks & purples, a gorgeous palm branch arch, and matching table centerpieces. The beautiful balloon art arrangement and understated cake added great details, and a violinist duo serenaded our model couple!
“The clouds are patchy, in motion. Their canopy seems to hold you in, hold you together—the air just yours, the sunset that bleeds through the horizon edge almost tangible. The clouds are a deep blue as they break, as your voice breaks in the midst of a promise, as you look up and finally see the hot metal shine of the first stars. Everyone knows the dark is intimate and here you are within it, joining with voices, the deepest and most personal connection: linked at the soul, at the heart, for life. As this blue and bright night folds its quiet around you, settles vows on your shoulders, you laugh in delight, kiss and embrace, and begin.” – Kate Marchetto, MKM Photography, Downtown Durham at Dusk… A Story of Sapphire and Stars
Autumn is such a beautiful time of year for weddings! However, some couples feel like once they have decided on a fall wedding, they have to incorporate pumpkins, apple cider, burgundy or dark green to make it an official fall wedding. Now, we love our Pumpkin Spice Lattes like everyone else, but fall weddings can still be outside of the box. Our vision for this shoot was to create a darker, romantic setting while still complimenting fall. We started visualizing something dark and sophisticated; the strong colors and atypical palette of oranges, plums and wheat were pulled together to give inspiration to brides and grooms and to evoke old-world elegance. | Autumn in the Moonlight – Ang H Studio
