Vintage Black Tie & Pearl Styled Shoot

Vintage Black Tie & Pearl Styled Shoot

A black-tie wedding is considered a classic evening event with a formal dress count, and oftentimes, it comes at a high financial cost. Wedding prices increase quickly based on your guest count, especially when it comes to providing food and drink for guests. If you love the elegance and attire of a black-tie wedding but don’t have the budget to go all out, an intimate guest count may be the perfect balance to create the right aesthetic for your special day.

Our goal with this Vintage Black Tie & Pearl styled shoot was to show that elopements can be any formality, and this cocktail-style black-tie experience is a great way to get fancy without feeding steak to 100+ guests. The ceremony and cocktail reception were set in an upscale garden setting, with black and white details accented by pearls and gold for a simple, elegant look. Along with a sweetheart table, cocktail tables, and a dance floor, traditional details such as a cake cutting and first dance were included.

This simple yet stylish elopement at the beautiful Goldsboro Courthouse in North Carolina is great inspiration if you’re thinking of going to the courthouse in the city! The short dress gives me Las Vegas runaway to the chapel vibes while the veil is that perfect “bridal” addition! The green bouquet is unique, original, and great on a budget.

This styled elopement, photographed by Cirque91 Photography, was designed by The Gathering Co, a wedding planner based in North Carolina and known to travel everywhere. Above all else, they pride themselves on intentionality! They want the events they’re involved in to be an experience that reflects the passion of all parties involved.

ElopeNC and Green Wedding Guild partnered to sponsor a Green Elopements styled shoot challenge in April 2022, and each team of vendors put their heads together to create a design full of inspiration for couples wanting an intimate wedding.

“I worked with an amazing team to put together our Red Rose Romance Elopement,” Brenda of Con Amor by Sucetty said. “I helped plan & coordinate the event, ensuring we have a cohesive experience for our couple while always staying true to everyone’s talent. I particularly really enjoyed the opportunity of bringing in some fairly new (to the industry) vendors to work on this with me. It was just awesome seeing it all come together, and everyone’s joy in learning together and building our community.”

For our shoot, Vibrant Modern Spring at The Maxwell, Jillian and I wanted to create something that would represent us while working with vendors who had our same values. We also wanted to try and encourage brides to go bold with their colors while still staying traditional. We knew we wanted a real couple and were lucky enough to find Nick & Chrissy who currently reside in Charlotte, North Carolina.

For some couples, concerts and live music play a significant role in their love story, whether they enjoy attending shows or are musicians themselves. When planning a wedding based around your love story, it’s like planning your best date ever, and for a couple whose story is more like a soundtrack, music can be the driving force behind your experience. At ElopeNC, we know there are couples who would love a private rock show with their closest friends, who want to celebrate their fun and playful side, who love color and neon and aren’t afraid to be their authentic, rock and roll selves. With these ideas in mind, we planned a Downtown Rocker Barcade Elopement styled shoot for our January 2022 ElopeNC event.
