Vibrant colors, non-traditional attire, and an eclectic reception table were seamlessly combined for this Whimsical Tea Party Elopement designed by Eva of Emily Katherine Events, along with Brennan of Cirque91 Photography.
Eva said, “It was exciting to see everything come together in the final product! It was fun to see things slowly transform from your original idea. At first, I thought I wanted to do a Mad Hatter theme for the tea party, but once seeing the selection from Southern Vintage Table, I couldn’t resist going more whimsical with it.”
Purples, blues, pinks, oranges, and greens were splashed throughout the design for a colorful display reminiscent of Wonderland. Event Flouret’s vibrant bouquet and arrangements created a playful approach, invitations by Kaleh Sampson Designs set the tone for a soft spring experience accented by the fun of a tea party, and Old Lystra Inn was a perfect setting with their historic house and beautiful property.
The bride wore a two piece outfit with an off-the-shoulder crop top and tulle skirt from Borrowed & Beautiful Bridal, paired with pointed pink heels with ribbon ankle wraps. Reign Beauty created a whimsical hair style that included waves and a cascade of flowers, along with a soft spring makeup look. The bride was adorned with playful jewelry from Hamilton Hill Jewelry to add a charming vintage touch, including rings, earrings, a necklace, and a mini-tiara. The groom had a casual charm with khaki pants, a white button-down shirt, and his hair braided away from his face.
The ceremony, officiated by Joy-Filled Ceremonies, took place at the white pergola embellished with climbing vines and more bright flowers, courtesy of Event Flouret. Set in a field a short walk away, a mirror designed by Ella Ink Calligraphy said, “Welcome to our wedding. Come let us have some tea and continue to talk about happy things.” The reception table was dressed with linens provided by American Party Rentals, and the place settings and decor were from the vast collection at Southern Vintage Table.
Eclectic place settings included lunch plates wrapped with napkins, topped with saucers and teacups, and colorful vintage goblets. The centerpiece contained candelabras, tea tins, and small, vibrant floral arrangements for this whimsical tea party. At the end of the table sat a smal stack of books with a cake tray featuring sweet treats provided by Sweet Haven Bakery.
“When eloping you can still make it your own! You can make it a fun theme and make it a grand affair or simple. Eloping is not less than! Never be ashamed to want what you want. It’s your day! You and your partner are the only ones that matter,” according to Eva.
Brennan wants couples to know “that you can elope in other ways besides in the mountain top or at the beach. You can have a cute and intimate ceremony between the two of you in style!”
